um just something about it no one seems to stay for very long many of the couples

with a sense of urgency they want the house just gone they just don't want to

be a part of this anymore I've been in the house several times I've never experienced anything I'm

trying to put all the rumors at rest I've contacted a professional team of investigators to come in they will look

they will call out to whatever being is here or not here and hopefully

investigate and find the truth find the facts and when we can make that available to the public I think that

would solve my problem rumors that have been circulating about the Wingate House

I went to film School in Pittsburgh a few years back and that's where I met Max I actually met him at a 7-Eleven

which is kind of a chance encounter and we got to talking and he asked if I wanted to be a part of this production

and you know I basically said what the hell sure that's no problem um I'll be honest with you they don't

really buy into any of this stuff I think it's a load of garbage but uh you know if there's money in it who am I to

turn him down well I've been interested in audio for most of my life I realized just how

important it was my older brother was deaf and I became

very aware as I got older just how important sound and and being

able to hear really was so I took a couple classes ended up going to college

for audio engineering after a while just recording normal things I started

realizing it was recording stuff that you couldn't hear so that got me interested into

researching more about the Paranormal that led me to meeting Max and so we

kind of formed a team to research all this stuff as we know it there's life and death

but that fine gray area in between is where I operate

the area of the supernatural the Paranormal the The Unexplained and because of an

experience I had many years ago with with a supernatural entity that's what's

drawn me into this field this this Quest this investigation to find out

what's beyond life if anything at all

and often I'm asked by people well everyone wants to see a ghost that's exciting that's that's kind of something

you know everyone should experience and that feeling is true

until you actually experience it and trust me it changes your view

about life and death and you'll never be the same

all right gang we're headed to 227 Wyoming Street the Wingate House as it's called just a

little background for everybody here the house was built around 1911 1913 and

since it's been built it's had approximately seven owners people don't

seem to stay in the house very long and we're gonna get to that hopefully uh we

can we can figure that out while we do our investigation the real paranormal

activity that comes from the house I believe stems from an accident that occurred about 45 years ago single

mother lived in the house she had some mental problems uh substance abuse

problems she had two twin boys Manny and Tyler

and she didn't always watch them very well their babysitter was apparently not

very um reliable so to speak so The Story Goes that

the Twins were in the basement playing and they found a toy Christmas ornament

elf that type of thing and the two kids got in a fight like

seven-year-olds would and Tyler was either pushed or

accidentally fell down the basement stairs and the struggle and unfortunately broke his neck I

believe and so do others that have lived in the house that it is his spirit that

is causing all the trouble and we're gonna find that out guys

now the house has its own security system built in from the real estate agency so we will be able to tap into

that when we get there so that'll be very helpful that'll give

us a lot of additional camera angles and coverage when we go to do our

investigations hopefully we'll turn something up we

have three days to figure this out we're gonna do everything we can to find

out what Spirits are in the house and hopefully help them cross over

the last donors were so frightened that when they moved out they left all their belongings behind

so let's take a minute and look at some of the tools of our trade some of the things we use in our profession to to

communicate with Spirits ghosts whatever you might want to call them and and

allow them an opportunity to speak to us so it's kind of a two-way street

first up is we have a simple recorder we'll use this when we're asking questions along with some other devices

we'll capture audio and then we'll take this and run it back through a machine to see if we can hear anything

that that might be present that that your ears can't pick up but the spirits

are trying to say what we have here is an infrared thermometer and with this handy little

unit does is it allows us to to find Cold spots uh anywhere we go against

like your temperature or or whatnot because when spirits and ghosts are

present the temperature will drop and this allows us to help pinpoint where

they may be in a room if we're getting some kind of reaction or feedback up next is an EMF detector ghosts and

spirits give off electromagnetic frequencies and that's what this picks up there's an indicator

here that goes from zero to a high setting and along with the thermometer the infrared thermometer we use this

device to help us locate any kind of electromagnetic frequency

disturbances which are often present with ghosts probably the ghost Hunter's

most valuable tool is this ghost box or a Spirit Box there's different names for

it but essentially what this does is it scans radio frequencies at a very fast

rate so knowing that ghosts give off electromagnetic frequencies we can use

this device to ask questions and if they have the ability to speak and project their voice it'll pick it up on this

because this is sweeping through channels at such a fast rate you get nothing audible the instant a ghost or a

spirit will talk you'll hear words and sentences which is impossible for this device to recreate so you know you're

talking to something so like take the recordings I I continuously record everything

um when we're at these places because even if we're not in the room I leave

stuff going to record or even um if we're in the room I record

constantly because the audio equipment will sometimes pick up voices or sounds

that the human ear can't it's not audible to the human ear and then I take all the recordings

put it on a computer and then I can analyze that I can eliminate any background noise or if if we're talking

I can differentiate between that and if the

spirits are talking or making a noise or anything like that so we've got the HD

Cannon here and this has a pretty hefty shoulder Mount uh it's got a weight on

the back to counterbalance it it's got this light here it's run by four double a batteries well five Double A's that's

my bad and uh we've got uh GoPro and those are running 24 7. we got a few of

them up around uh High angles so we can take like a panoramic shot of the rooms

so you never know what you're going to find I can't honestly say I'm not a little bit optimistic that we're going

to see something again my hopes are low but they are there I mean you know this

could be a life-changing experience for me quite honestly and if that happens I'm fine with that and uh you know the

money's just a bonus

all right so I will admit that was a little strange uh to come down and find the elf on the chair because I know full

well it was on the Shelf prior to that um I don't think Max would have done that to me I don't think it's a prank or

anything um I'm I'm starting to think there actually might be something to this

I wouldn't have thought that I would have that attitude going into this not that long ago but uh I'm almost thinking

that maybe there might be a lot of people ask me why I don't use Ouija boards in my investigations and I

have some very strong opinions on that one being that someone is always

touching the Oracle the the unit that will go to yes no hello spell things out

so there's a physical contact between people in the board that I think can

create misconceptions and can lend itself to getting the answers you want

is the spirit really in control of that whereas if you use a Spirit Box there's

no way to manipulate that the other reason is it's really touted these days as a board game

um which it was not originally conceived as it was a way for people in the old

days to talk to loved ones to find out about their future etc etc but one thing

people need to keep in in their head about talking to Spirits whether it's a

Ouija board or a Spirit box or or you know audible voices whatnot recordings

is that Spirits for the most part can deceive

you they'll tell you what you want to hear if you think you're talking to a 12 year

old girl you could be talking to a 60 year old man who's pretending to be

someone you want to speak with to to integrate themselves into your

life and and form of communication and once they do that that playfulness that

niceness it changes and it gets ugly and

all of a sudden you have a spirit attached to you that you can't get rid of and its

intentions are malicious not friendly

immediate you get EVPs you get recordings you get stuff getting moved

I did some research I knew that the house had many owners I contacted the

real estate agent she was apprehensive at first but she finally agreed it took a lot of work

well if you're such an expert why did you need all our help because I can't do

it myself but what are we supposed to do

any specific way the same way we've done it in the past I don't know how that is

I guess we're gonna have to on some level just to get out of here and get paid yeah that's the only thing

I care about at this point me too

so I really really don't like getting tricked on in with Max for many years

we've been on a lot of Investigations and he never wants even mentioned

anything remotely close to this and I just want to quit I could

I could walk out that door and never return that's how I feel if he would have just come clean from the start

maybe things would have been different when people have hidden agendas that doesn't sit well with me

and I don't know what I'm gonna do I don't know what I'm gonna do at this

point I'm really mad so little by little every day that I've

been here I've gotten to be more and more of a believer in the Paranormal

I've done EVPs I saw the footage of the doll actually moving uh this is stuff that if someone

had shown to me I would have said you know this has been faked but because

I've been having this personal firsthand experience I know it's not

so I have to say that overall this has been a life-changing experience it's

been very enlightening and in some aspects I'm sorry that we've done it because

I don't know if I'm going to be able to have a normal wife now knowing that this stuff can happen

um and quite honestly the money's not even worth it at this point um this is a scary place to be I do not

enjoy this at all um I don't know what Max's take is on this

but it's not cool it's not cool um I remember seeing the Twilight Zone

episode years ago with talking Tina and it freaked me out and now it's like I'm living that so I cannot wait to get out of here and

honestly I'm gonna ask for my pay to be doubled because they're keeping me here

almost under duress at this point
